Kaya gets a New Look

Kaya finally got her hair washed this weekend.  She moved here from Ebay a while back and has been waiting for her turn to get pampered.  Don't that serene face fool you, Kaya is very excited.

Kaya's hair is dusty and matted.  She is a Pleasant Co. doll and has the coarse hair instead of the silky Mattel hair.  Her hair is kept in braids so she won't be going to the hospital for silky hair like Josefina did.

"Ah.  This feels so nice."

Kaya's best friend Marisol Luna keeps her company while her hair dries.

Kaya is so happy to get the special treatment.  She feels so loved right now.

She gets a new hairstyle, since she had the same two braids for years.  Kaya wants another braided hairstyle so her hair doesn't get in her way when she is playing.

Kaya is ready for Spring!  Her top is a Carters preemie shirt and her skirt was handmade.  The boots were borrowed from MAG Sophie.

The Weekend Post

I got to hang out outdoors today.  There was a tiny voice behind some plants.  A Bitty Baby!  "Where did you come from?"  I ask.  "Who you?" Bitty asks in return.  "I'm Dana.  The new girl."  "Oh.  Me Lulu Belle and this Foxy."  "So what does the fox say Lulu?"  "Fox sing-not talk.  Silly Dana!"

Lulu is a good climber.  I haven't seen her before because she is the constant companion of one of the girls.  Where the girl goes, so does Lulu.  The two are inseparable, especially at bedtime.  Lulu Belle is the baby sister of Zoey Chloe and Sophie.

"Hey Lulu, do the older girls know you are wearing an Isabelle top?  I know Caroline is very fussy about who gets to wear the Isabelle exclusives."
"SSHHHH!!! Don't tell!" Lulu screams.
"You should always ask first before using or taking something."  I advise.
"Lulu want big girl clothes-not baby clothes." Lulu responds before running off.

Lulu Belle wasn't the only one who was climbing today.  Kit and Saige went on a mini adventure.

Saige found a cave.  "I wonder what's in here?  Pirates treasure maybe?  Nope.  Just more rocks."

"Woo hoo!  Queens of the hill!" Kit yells out.  "So how do we get down?"

"Let's just swing down from these vines.  Tarzan style!"

"I found a wood rose to take back as a souvenir."

Since everyone is busy having fun, I think I will go create my own fun too.  Body boarding! Have a wonderful weekend!

My First Weekend Begins!!!

Yeah!  My very first weekend.  Not sure what that means yet.  I'm just excited because everyone is going to be home.

I started my day by checking out the green room.  This is the place where all the interesting stuff happens.  I heard last week that there was a tiny Mooshka mermaid who married a Zelf.  They live in Tolee's treehouse in a magical aquarium.  This morning the room was quiet.  I did spot on the far end, a cruise ship full of Monster High girls.  I wonder if they hijacked the ship from Barbie or got her permission.  I'll find out later.

In the master room, is a gym where Zoey Chloe was practicing her gymnastics.  She loves posing for the camera.

On my way back to the living room, I spotted Zoey's younger sister Sophie.  She was singing to herself and playing.  Unlike her sister, Sophie is shy.  When she saw me, she gave a shy wave and then disappeared.  I think she lives in the green room, while Zoey Chloe lives in the lavender room.

An update on the green room; I got a peek at the magical aquarium.  The happy little couple let me photograph them.  I also saw Barbie and she lends out her cruise ship so others can enjoy it too.  What a thoughtful doll!

I love to be outdoors.  This afternoon I watched clouds floating in the sky and played in the grass with some flower petals.  I could do this all afternoon.

My Interview with Kit Kittredge

Kit Kittredge interviewed me last night.  I don't think my story is as exciting as hers.  I got to ask her a few questions in return including how she ended up in this house.
The girls in the house were looking to add Kit to their family.  Kit is a Pleasant Co. edition and had been loved very much by a little girl who grew up years ago.  Packed away and forgotten, she was then posted on Craigslist.  Once adopted, Kit was cleaned up and instantly loved by the oldest girl in the house.  Kit's limbs were very loose and was sent to the hospital along with Josefina Montoya, who needed a new head because she was also a Pleasant Co. doll and had coarse hair.  Two weeks later, both girls were sent home to finish their recovery.

Saige threw Kit and Josefina a welcome home party to celebrate their return.  Both dolls were missed very much.

Kit's limbs are now tighter than ever and Josefina has very silky hair.  Kit loves this home because there is a motto "Recycle and make what we can so we can afford the things we can't".  Kit and the oldest girl write newspapers together.  Everyone in the house is learning about the Depression and how fortunate we are now to have the things we do.  Kits books are so wonderful!  Kits movie is frequently watched, but her books tell so many stories that are not in the movie.

So now I have two friends in the house.  I hope this home turns out to be my ever after place to live.  I'm starting to settle in and would like to find my own little nook somewhere.  The living room is still my main spot to hang out for now.

My first full day at my new home.

Kyla and I were up early.  We changed and walked over to Kanani's Global Fusion Cuisine for breakfast.  It is owned by Kyla's sister Kanani.  I ordered bacon and eggs and Kyla had a breakfast pizza.

When I reached back home, I texted some of my other Journey Girl friends and let them know that I'm living with another Journey Girl and we are now good friends.

Today I also added The Dolls page to my blog that is going to include pictures and profiles of everyone.  I had a really fun day.  I made my way into the lavender room and got to look through the dressers for clothes that fit me.  Score!  It turns out that the My Life bottoms from Walmart that doesn't fit the AG girls fit me perfect.  I put together an outfit with a My Life capris, handmade top, and a Madame Alexander jacket.  All the shoes were too big or too small.

Going on in the lavender room was a small group ballet class.  The trio was none other than Caroline (who I haven't seen since my first car ride home), a sweet girl named Jess (she has done some traveling herself), and-Oh my gosh!!!  Is it really her?? Kit Kittredge!!!  She is my idol! I consider myself to be the modern age Kit and here is the real deal herself.  I'm totally speechless.

I run back to the wardrobe to hide. I don't know how to approach the amazing Kit Kittredge.  She finds me in the wardrobe and asks me for an interview tonight.  Kit is the in house journalist.  A new doll is definitely newsworthy.  Wow.  I swoon!  Kit wants to interview me?

I feel faint.  Air, I need air!  Kyla suggests we go skating outside.  Being outdoors is just what I needed.  Kyla worries that I won't want to be her friend now that I've met Kit.  Kyla is a true friend and we will be friends forever!

I can't wait for my interview tonight.  Maybe I will get to ask Kit a few questions myself.  I'm going to get my notebook ready right now!
